So I’m watching Dr. 90210. (It’s 4 am and it’s either that or Super Nanny. Shut up.) Dr. Rey meets this Venezuelan beauty-pageant contestant. He finds out she’s deaf/mute. And he says something like “This is what I’m trying to teach Americans. She’s beautiful on the outside, but she’s the most beautiful on the inside.”
How could he possibly fucking know that? He’s spent 2 minutes with her. She obviously hasn’t said anything. For all we know, she could be a puppy-hating, rain-forest shoveling bitch who drinks babies blood for breakfast.
It reminds me of an episode of Big Bang Theory where Penny says “Handicapped people are nice, Leonard, everyone knows that.” A positive prejudice is still every bit as much of a prejudice as a negative one. Dumbass.
