This is why we can’t have nice things
There’s a special place in my pixelated heart for people who make an effort to spread positivity and happiness around our SL. Whether it’d be matching up avatars who have secret crushes on eachother or challenging us to do something nice for someone unknown, they make my fluffy parts even fluffier.
However, I have noticed that everytime someone does make an effort like that, someone takes a little time out of their day to makes things more fun for us, there’s a core of bitter people desperate to trample all over that.
I get being skeptic and I don’t expect everyone to jump for joy about everything, don’t get me wrong. But if you, every single time, choose to bitch, moan, whine and be generally bitter over these things, you’re on my mental black-list.
It’s not like you can even call it out in a frank forward manner even, you have to do it in vague snide ways, so that everyone really knows what you mean, but you can quickly back-pedal if the heat gets too much for you.
On the other side of the coin, there’s the anonymous snide “mean girls” who chose to put in writing the negative shit, who fuels the drama and having a blast doing so. Interestingly enough, people like described above never seems to see the correlation when they themselves are hit with the shitstorm in an anonymous manner. You reap what you sow, karma’s a bitch and all that jazz.
Yeah, I know, bitching about bitching may be somewhat counterproductive, but really I just can’t shut up anymore. Yesterday, with the launch of SLuicide Girls, I watched the same thing happen all over again. Here’s a group of ladies, all to my knowledge perfectly nice and happy girls, trying to do something fun and enjoyable. And, The bitchfest is on. You really have nothing else to do? Seriously, just shut the fuck up and let the rest of us have fun. We’re so over this attitude. We’re over you.

amen sister!
Well said (applause)
I wish I had an applause emote for you in here so I’ll just do this
-CLAPS-
*takes a bow* Thank you ladies.
not sure i knew where you were going with this until i saw the promo for the sluicidegirls site. up until then i was in agreement with what i thought you were saying about the bitches among us. the urges to anonymously turn everything loving dark denotes a sick and twisted aspect of the web’s population that deserves where they want things to go… to hell.
as to the sluicidegirls site… same ole gang of unrepentant shit slingers with NEW NEW NEW names. what fun! i will quite delightedly avoid them separately and altogether.

I may not be familiar with all the girls previous adventures, but the ones I do know have been all positive. Mind sharing what it is that makes you say they are “shit slingers”?
