Ok, so I know yo
u read blogs (obviously, or you wouldn’t read this one) but how often do you interact with the bloggers? It’s safe to say that the majority of bloggers around depends on feedback to keep going. If what you’re doing produces no visible reaction, you quickly lose the motivation to do it.
I know there’s a lot of people who read insane amount of blogs each and every day but very rarely posts any comments on them. You might feel that you have nothing valuable to say or that what you wanted to say have already been said by someone else. I’m urging you to rid yourself of these thoughts. Even if all you have to say is “Hey, I liked this post”, please do, it’s means so much to the blogger.
So, here’s the challenge. Find three (or more) blog posts to comment on today. If you’re having trouble finding something to comment on, here are some suggestions from around the blogosphere.
Marnix on the subject of voice in SL. – How do you feel about voice? Do you do it or not? Why? Tell him in the comments.
Crap Mariner on the subject of SLT. – Do you like the current time format in SL? Why/Why not? What do you think would be the best solution? Leave a comment with your opinion.
Alicia on Linden Homes. – Wonder what it’s all about? Have some thoughts on the project itself? Or maybe just compliment her on the pictures? It’s up to you.
Fayne on fashion for dancers. – How do you like the pictures? The items? Is there something in particular that stand out for you? Give her some feedback.
Here are some things that might make it more fun to comment. Go to Gravatar and set up your avatar picture. It will show up next to your comment on most wordpress blogs and some other sites as well. If you’re commenting on a blogspot site, you can set up a Google ID with your picture that works the same way.
Bloggers, here’s your challenge. Take a few minutes out of your life to reply to (at least) three of the comments you’ve received. Commenters also need feedback and it encourages them to check your site again.
If you accept this challenge, please comment (or trackback a post) and let me know how it went.

I will try to do that when I get home from work tonight. Does this count as one?
Sure thing! A comment is a comment is a comment.
I try to reply to everyone who posts a comment on my blog. It’s not that hard since I don’t get that many people to comment that often.
As a commenter I really appreciate that Dedric, you can have whole conversations and discussions that way and it makes for a more in depth experience in my opinion. Keep it up.
Thank you so much for the mention Kissowa – I love this post and you’re so right, comments demonstrate appreciation for someone’s work and will certainly put a smile on that blogger’s face. Share the love!
yes great post kissowa and you are so right. Bloggers love to get comments to know if anyone likes the way they blog or at all. I keep my comments so that I have to aprove for publishing – so i know if anyone did comment so i can comment back
if someone comments and never get back or reply again to your answear i dont see why they did comment in the first place. I have this shoutbox too on my blog – if commenting is too hard
but people are shy to comment I guess.
hugs
Dudda
I didn´t have a gravatar – lets see if it works with the new gravatar ID pic
@Fayne; I’m glad you liked the post!
@Dudda: I have the same way, though if you get approved once, you are approve for lifetime, though I still get a mail every time someone comments, I like to know.
I can’t see your gravatar yet, but it does take a while for it to recognize your email, so here’s to hoping it’ll show soon.
